Jan Bliss

Salon owner, Jan Bliss, has been in the industry for over 30 years. She has an extensive educational background that includes training at the Aveda institute in London, Graham Webb Academy, Tigi, Joico, L'OREAL Soho academy, Schwarzkopf, Paul Mitchell, Rusk & Michael Cole. She also studied under salon psychologist, Dr. Lew. Jan has a passion for design cutting and color enhancements and is a color coordinator at Salon Bliss. She enjoys working with curly and fine to medium textured hair. Jan is certified in the Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System.

Jan opened Salon Bliss in 1993 and has expanded the business three times to accommodate the high volume of clientele. Salon Bliss has since been voted the #1 Salon & Day Spa in Johnson County for 9 years in a row by Sun Publications. Outside of the salon Jan enjoys reading, working out, travel, candle making and of course, shopping with her two grand-children. Jan has a love for horses and owns four. Christopher Nash

Christopher has been a professional stylist for OVER 20 years with 16 at Salon Bliss. He has successfully completed the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy, Toni & Guys Academy of Precision Haircutting. He has studied under the European Cutting Design Team; Fanone International. He has also trained under the highly accredited National Schwarzkopf Color Educator, Misael, in Understanding the Art of Color and Movement. Christopher specializes in Razor cutting,Texture Waves,HiLighting, and Current New Style Trend Releases with constant ongoing continued Advanced Education with Acclaimed International Artistic Designers. Christopher is certifed in the Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System as well as DevaCurl certified. Dawn Dinkins

Dawn has been in the industry for 18 years and has been with Salon Bliss for 13 years. A graduate of Jones Hair & Nail School and of Longview Community College, she graduated in May of 2008 with an Associate of Arts Degree. Dawn also serves as an educator on our staff. She specializes in all aspects of color enhancement, razor cutting and especially listening to her clients needs. Dawn likes to have fun & laugh but also like to make sure her clients have a positive, relaxing experience at Salon Bliss. In her spare time she enjoys reading, singing & learning.

Denise Papin

Denise has been with Salon Bliss for OVER 10 years. Her career began in the mid 1970's and her experience includes training with Chadwicks, Mizael Aponte (art of color and movement), Redken, Joico and Schwarzkopf. Denise has worked as a salon educator and as a platform artist. She believes that good communication is essential for great results. She is experienced and confident in all aspects of hair design and excels at retexturizing and color enhancements. Denise is certified in the Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System.

Amy Mayhugh

Amy has over 15 years experience in the salon industry and celebrated 10 at Salon Bliss in 2011. She has studied men's haircutting class with Pureology, Jessica Simpson hair extension class, a variety of color classes with techniques from Redken, Joico and Schwarzkopf which add to her strengths in color enhancement. Amy has a real talent with with up-dos, blow-dry styles, men's cuts, short fun looks, make-up and extreme makeovers.Amy is Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System certified. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities, music concerts and fun with friends and family.

Maggi Menninger

A graduate of Dillard's Cosmetology School, Maggi has been a stylist for 10 + years with 9 years at Salon Bliss. Her focus on continuing education has helped her specialize in men's cuts, curly & straight hair, highlights and color enhancements. When she is not at the salon turning out amazing looks, Maggi enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Jennifer Daisy

Jennifer has 14 years experience as a hair designer. She has studied with Regis Academy and has been with Salon Bliss for NEARLY 10 years. Jennifer's strengths include cutting, color enhancement, and her specialty is permanent waving, long and short. She likes to read and spend time with her family.

Terrie Dellinger

Terrie has over 25 years experience in the industry. She has served as an instructor at LaBaron Academy and color coach at Aveda. Her continuing education has included Nexxus, Redken Precision cutting and styling Elements Academy training, L'OREAL Professional, Aveda Color and Color Coach accreditation, Schwartzkopf Product and cutting education, Run Way Hair and Up swept Trends, Braiding through the ages, Arojo Razor and Point Cut 1, 2 and 3, Her specialties include up-dos, razor cuts, color enhancements and corrective color. Terrie enjoys working with naturally curly and fine hair and loves to deliver change. Terrie enjoys spending her time with her husband and kids, friends, crafts, gardening and reading in her spare time.

Michelle (Shelby) Littlefield

Shelby is a Master Hair Stylist at Salon Bliss and Day Spa with over 13 years of experience. Before moving to Kansas City she worked at Allen Edwards Salon in Los Angeles, CA. Her educational background includes classes at L'Oreal Professional Academy SoHo NY, Vidal Sassoon Academy Santa Monica, CA, Sebastian International Woodland Hills, CA, American Crew Kansas City, Mo, Toni & Guy Academy Santa Monica, CA, and with advance color theory from Schwarzkopf. She likes all aspects of hair design, but her true passion is color enhancement. Shelby is Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System certified.

Aleah Campbell

Aleah is a graduate of the American Academy of Hair Design in Topeka, KS. She has color enhancement training with Wella, Redken L'OREAL, and Schwarzkopf. Aleah has also trained with Mizani for hair relaxers. Her strengths in cutting techniques stem from training with Pureology cutting techniques, Mitzu Sato cutting class, Aquage Kinetic cutting & razoring. Her specialties include cutting & coloring, make-up application, women's styles, special occasion up-dos and Ethnic hair. Other specialties include 3 different straighteners and perming. Her 6 years of experience have made her knowledgeable with all types and textures of hair. Aleah is certified in the Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System. In her spare time, Aleah enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, music, movies and reading.

Maranel Schmitz

Maranel is a graduate of the Regency Beauty Academy in Minneapolis, has 20 years of experience and is a Master Hair Stylist. Her commitment and passion comes through in her desire to see people look and feel their best. Her continued drive to perfect her art in Advanced Color and Cutting techniques has landed her awards and taken her to the London Academy of Advanced Hair Color and New York for the Redken Exchange. She also loves sharing her professional experience by training stylists in Advanced Color, Perm and Cutting Edge Techniques.Maranel is certified In DevaCurl and also Keratin Complex Smoothing System certified.

Barbie Miller

Barbie is a Master Hair Stylist and has been in the hair industry for over 15 years. She has participated in fashion shows for Nordstrom and Aveda. Her educational background includes advanced training through Mario Tricoci in Chicago, Toni and Guy in Arizona and extensive training in Aveda. Barbie keeps up with the latest trends and has a phenomenal talent in cutting and color enhancement. She is certified in the Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightnening Sytem. The looks she delivers prove that she loves what she does as a hair designer. She really knows how to incorporate daily life and beauty together as simply as possible.

Eric Straffen

Eric brings a wealth of experience to the Salon Bliss team. With over 25 years in the industry, a former educator and an abundance of creative vision, we are excited to have him on our team. Eric Staffen specializes in trendsetting color enhancement, master level designer cuts. He is inspired by giving his clients the best possible looks to accentuate their own features, and to suit their needs and lifestyle. Eric is one of the best stylists in town and an asset to Salon Bliss. Eric is Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System certified.

Nicole Maere

Nicole has over 20 years experience as a stylist and is one of our Curl Experts at Salon Bliss. She spent six years in Scottsdale, Arizona and has been in Overland Park for 15 years. She has received advanced training in New York with "Curly Girl" guru Lorraine Massey for cutting curly hair. Nicole also specializes in the highlighting technique for curly hair known as "Pintura". She has trained with Redken and Rusk for cutting and coloring, L'Oreal advance color, and is certified in and an educator for Deva Curl.

Lauren Graham

Lauren is an Associate stylist at Salon Bliss. She has been in the beauty industry for over 3 years. Laurens upbeat, entusiastic personality and love for fashion makes her an excellent stylist. She is Schwarzkopf color certified and skilled with trendsetting cutting techniques, as well as extensions. One of Lauren's strong points is her incredible talent with make-up application. She works at Glamour Shots as a professional stylist, make-up artist and photographer. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her daughter.

Nicole Littlefield

Nicole is an Associate stylist at Salon Bliss. She has over 4 yrs experience as a hair designer and enjoys all aspects of hair design. Nicole has studied color theory under such reputable names as Schwarzkopf, JoE Blackwell and L'OREAL. Her cutting skills are equally as strong and she has taken instruction from Scwarzkopf cybersport cutting and Phillip Wilson alternative cutting techniques. Nicole enjoys movies, reading , shopping and spending time with her family.

Lola Holle

Lola joined Salon Bliss in 2011. A stylist for over 17 years, Lola excels in many facets of hair design. Having an educational resume that includes, Aquage, American Crew, Matrix, and specialized training in New York, she is confident in color enhancement, including highlighting and corrective color. Lola also has a strength with custom and classic cuts, men's cuts, and has a flair for fine hair, curly hair and special occassion up-dos. Lola is certified in Keratin Complex Straightening system.

Tonya Nickel

Senior Hair Stylist AND Nail Technician Tonya Nickel joined our staff in 2011. Tonya is multi talented with strengths in hair and nails. A graduate of Regency beauty institute, with additional education in Aveda and OPI, Tonya strives to offer her clients the best of both worlds. With a passion for the industry, Tonya is confident with all textures and types of hair from fine to coarse, straight or curly. She loves color theory and creative highlighting. Tonya is certified in the Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System. Tonya loves pampering her clients with soothing and therapeutic manicures and pedicures.

Maureen Carroll

Maureen Carroll has been a stylist for over 26 years. She has studied under Paul Mitchell, Matrix, L'OREAL, Powerpoint, Schwarzkopf and Aveda. She specializes in color enhancements and classic cutting techniques. Maureen is Keratin Smoothing Treatment Straightening System certified. She enjoys spending time with her children and interior decorating in her spare time.

Christine Littlefield

Christine has been a hairstylist for over three years. She has an extensive educational background that includes formal training in color and cutting by American Crew, Schwarzkopf, Matrix Socolor, Pureology, Aquage, Redken, Phillip Wilson Cutting and Sam Villa color & cutting and has also taken salon business classes with Joe Blackwell. She is Keratin Smoothing Treatment Sytem certified. Christine is equally talented in cutting techniquesand color enhancement and has a flair for special event updos and makeup application. She has enjoyed working with local fashion shows and photo shoots as a stylist and make-up artist.
